Shopping and Dining
Ellington area farmers offer fresh produce each Saturday from May to October at the Ellington Farmers Market.  Starting late in July, take a trip to Johnny Appleseed’s Farm to pick your own peaches and apples and in the fall, pumpkins.Tucked away in a small little plaza is an intimate little Italian restaurant with a menu that is sure to please Trattoria da lepri offers a “blend of simplicity and sophistication,” writes the New York Times.

Recreation
Learn to fly your own parachute to a safe landing Skydiving at Ellington Airport.  Crystal Lake  and Sandy Beach is located on the northern end of town on Route 140, which offers swimming, boating and fishing.

Schools and transportation
Ellington Schools include three Elementary schools; Windermere, Center and Crystal Lake, two Middle schools; Windermere Intermediate, Ellington Middle and one High School; Ellington High with an enrolled student body of 2,598 students.
